New to Church Luncheon – If you haven’t attended a Church Luncheon and would like to hear more about Cornerstone and what we believe, you are invited on Sunday, October 30th following the second service. Please add your name to the sign-up sheet in the foyer if you’d like attend.

Baby Shower – Ladies, you are invited to the home of Amy Woodworth (1425 Kingston Road) on Wednesday, November 2nd to celebrate with Kelly Doiron and her baby boy River. Please bring a snack to share.

Baptism – We are planning a baptism on Sunday, November 27th. If you would like to learn more about baptism or would like to be baptized, please add your name to the sign-up sheet or speak to Pastor Phil.


Cornerstone MONTAGUE

The Community Closet finishes up for the fall on Wednesday, October 26th. Many thanks to the volunteers and to those who have donated items to this ministry! The Community Closet will reopen in the New Year.

Compassion Opportunity Cindy Dockendorff is going on an exposure trip to Kenya with Compassion in January.  If there’s anyone who’s sponsoring a child in Kenya through Compassion, they can send a gift with her for their child.  If she hears back quickly enough with the child’s name and code number, she can also ask if Compassion can schedule a home visit so she can visit the child on your behalf, take some pictures for them, and perhaps give your gift directly to the child during the visit.   Cindy’s email address is cindydockendorff@hotmail.com


Announcements from PEI Baptist Association

Harvest Festival of Missions, October 29 from 1:15-4:45 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cornwall (9 Cornerstone Drive) The Harvest Festival of Missions is sponsored by the Island Baptist Women but everyone is welcome (not just women). Some attachments have been included in this e-mail to help spread the word.

There will be info tables on various ministries that people can get involved in, as well as the speaker who is the CBM Atlantic Rep and will give us info on all the CBM missionaries activities so that we can be better equipped to pray and support.

Some great music, shopping with Sonshine , and a meal should make for a wonderful afternoon!

Annual General Meeting, November 12 at 8:45 am at Bedeque Baptist Church (54 Linkletter Avenue)

Please be encouraging members of your congregation to attend our annual meeting. Remember, everyone can attend and provide input even if they aren’t the official delegates for your church!

We are very excited to be hosting a discussion in the afternoon about the opportunities and challenges presented when different generations minister to and with each other, which will be led by Rev. Renee Embree from CBAC.
We will hear updates from our partner organizations on PEI such as Camp Seggie and the Island Pregnancy Centre and from representatives of Crandall University and Acadia Divinity College.

We are gathering the rest of the information you’ll need for the meeting and nailing down some other details so please stay tuned as new information will be available in the coming days!
