Giving
Why we give
Giving our treasure away is a spiritual discipline that Jesus instructs His followers to routinely practice because this is what we need to do that allows Him to change a heart that’s greedy to one that’s generous and it allows Him to free our hearts from the pull of material things.
Matthew 6:21 – For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Ecclesiastes 5:10 – Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.

Areas for giving
We accept giving designated in 3 areas: General, Mission, and Community Care (AKA Benevolent).
Designated Funds Policy
Cornerstone Baptist Church encourages all members and attendees to
make their regular financial contributions to the church’s general
fund. The general fund is what carries the ongoing ministry of the
church and should be the primary place people give their tithes.
The purpose of any designated fund is to allow a special project to
receive additional funding over and above that of the church budget.
Spending of funds is confined to Board approved programs and
projects. Each restricted contribution designated toward an approved
program or project will be used as designated with the understanding
that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or
cannot be completed for any reason as determined by the Board, the
remaining restricted contributions designated for such program or
project will be used where needed most as determined by the Elders
Board. Special offerings taken by the church will be treated as “designated
funds” and go through one of the existing designated funds or given
directly to a separate charitable organization.
Before the church accepts a designated contribution, a designated
fund must be established. Donations to Cornerstone that contain
special designations that are not designated funds will be returned to
the donor.
